About the Event

  • Limit of 10 pairs of adult primary caregivers/parents within the same family  (20 participants total)

  • No paid books are required

  1. Common mental health challenges in the gifted population

  2. What to Look For and How to talk to your child and siblings about mental health

  3. When to act – How do I seek help

  4. How to find help: Finding mental health care professionals, Treatment Options, Planning Ahead

  5. Community support: Caregiver Selfcare, Dealing with family and friends who don’t understand or believe

  6. Group Choice

About our Facilitators

Dr. Lin Lim – SENG Past President
Nisia Patalan: Nisia Patalan has been an educator for 26 years, 18 of which have focused on gifted learners.  She is the Director of Gifted Education for the San Juan BOCES based in Durango, CO.  SENG has provided Nisia with support, empathy, and belonging and she is honored to facilitate an SCG group focused on mental health needs amongst gifted children.
