Framing Motivation: An Executive Function–Informed Approach to Help Kids Get Going POSTPONED from Jan 10:

  • Fusion Academy 320 Needham St #100 Newton, MA USA (map)

Does your child seem to struggle with motivation? Why can gifted and 2E children easily engage in activities they love, sometimes for hours, yet struggle immensely with doing tasks that are seemingly simple? Traditional methods like rewards, consequences, and reminders often prove ineffective, and often lead to increased frustration for both children and parents.

This in-person session by Courtney Edman, Founder of 2tametheshamE offers a fresh perspective on motivation and blends neuroscience with a neurodiversity-informed, compassionately curious parenting style. Parents will leave with a new understanding of motivation and feeling empowered with strategies and creative ideas for helping their child get started on all types of activities and tasks while also strengthening their relationship.
