Acceleration is often discussed as a method of addressing the needs of Gifted students but there are still a lot of myths and misperceptions about it. The Belin-Blank Center's Acceleration Institute has focused it's research on the different forms acceleration.  They compiled the data in A Nation Deceived and A Nation Empowered. 

A Nation Deceived informed us of research-based practices for challenging academically talented youth. A Nation Empowered tells the story of how well we have applied what we have learned.

Join MAGE Leaders to debunk the myths, explore the many forms of acceleration, and discuss the pros/cons of some of the less common strategies like radical acceleration (multiple grade skips).
